CEO/Owner

27 Years’ experience in various manufacturing companies from line production to information systems to operations management. Started Phoenix Lighting products in 1988.

Serves on the NPE operations Committee, The Society of Plastics Industry National Board, and as the Vice Chairman of the Machinery Division of the SPI.

Also serves on Branford Little League Board of Directors and the East Haven Youth Hockey Board of Directors

Tom McGwire

Vice President

Graduated Northeastern University with BS in International Business and Minor in Finance and Chinese. 13 years’ experience in manufacturing domestically and internationally. Currently managing contract sheet metal fabricating business and opportunities abroad.

Helen Lespier

President

Helen’s had a long history with Industrial Heater Corp. A summer part-time job in 1978 opened a career in Sales and Manufacturing. Spending summers at Industrial Heater allowed her the opportunity to work in all facets of the organization from Sales, Engineering, Purchasing & Manufacturing. Graduating from the State University of New York at Albany she returned to Industrial Heater full time to work in the Sales Department.

Utilizing the knowledge acquired at IHCO Helen worked with FDO Corp. a div. of BASF Corp. handling International Sales & Marketing for Latin America.

Returning to Industrial Heater in 1991 Helen got involved with the shop and used her knowledge of the organization and bilingual abilities to facilitate the company’s transition to its new location.

Today she functions is the VP of Operations overseeing areas of Purchasing, Engineering and HR as well as helping out in Sales.

Post World War II

IHCO designed and manufactured heaters for leading Original Equipment Manufacturers in the plastics industry, including Van Dorn, Natco, Reed, HPM, Egan and Davis Standard.

1957

IHCO designed and patented Ceramic-Insulated Band Heaters, which became the number-one choice of machinery builders worldwide.

1957

IHCO Band Heaters were selected by reciproscrew manufacturers as OEM specification, placing IHCO in the front line of a dynamic revolution in injection molding.

Early 1960s

IHCO began exporting heaters to foreign manufacturers of injection molding machines and extruders. As a result, IHCO heaters service machines in every corner of the world. IHCO also worked with importers to create process machinery replacement heaters with foreign components, as well as American components for foreign machines.

1970s

Designed and patented welding stress relief heaters for nuclear power plants.

Mid 1980s

IHCO designed and developed energy-efficient heaters to aid in cost reduction; worked with manufacturers of crosshead dies to develop various types of compatible heaters; worked with injection and extrusion barrel manufacturers to heat vented barrels; designed and developed coil heaters for injection probes in hot runner molds.

1990

IHCO designed and developed Air-Cooled Heater Assemblies for machinery builders and processors who require cooling as well as heating in their production environment.

Early 1990s

IHCO introduced 3mm (.118) Tubular Heaters for plastics applications.
